TERMS OF USE

A board for serious signals—not an agency relationship.

These terms govern the OutbidJobs public beta, including Google or ChatGPT sign-in, profiles, posts, private documents, direct applications, candidate-approved scout introductions, scheduling links, the public API, and Stripe-hosted one-time rank checkout. The workspace identifies Sandbox or Live mode before payment.

OutbidJobs is a self-service posting and matching platform. It is not a recruiting, staffing, or employment agency and does not represent employers, candidates, or independent scouts.

1. Public-beta service

OutbidJobs currently provides signed-in member profiles, role and talent posts, private resume storage, link-based scheduling, a privacy-filtered read-only API, owner moderation, live public marketplace data from approved real posts, role-specific applications, candidate-gated scout introductions, notifications, support threads, founding-cohort intake, and—when enabled—Stripe-hosted checkout for one-time rank purchases. Bounty funding, response reserves, and scout payouts remain disabled until separately activated with deal-specific terms.

Empty categories show an unclaimed #1 opportunity instead of a fictional listing. A draft or pending-payment post is not a paid or approved listing. Sandbox checkout uses Stripe test details and does not move real money; Live checkout charges the real payment method entered on Stripe.

2. Platform role

OutbidJobs supplies self-service publishing, discovery, category filtering, ranking signals, matching tools, consent records, and—when launched—transaction infrastructure. Employers, candidates, and independent scouts control their own listings, communications, decisions, and agreements.

OutbidJobs does not select or place candidates, negotiate compensation, employ workers, make hiring decisions, act as a party's representative, or guarantee an interview, introduction, offer, hire, bounty, or outcome.

3. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. Employer users must be authorized to publish the role and compensation information. Candidate users must control the profile or talent signal they publish. Independent scouts or recruiters must have the candidate's consent and any authority or licensing required for their own activities.

The launch board is limited to work performed in the United States or Canada and does not offer employer visa sponsorship. Candidates must currently live in and be legally entitled to work in their selected country without employer visa sponsorship. Employers may be headquartered anywhere but must hire lawfully in the selected U.S. or Canadian market.

Eligibility is based on current legal work authorization, not nationality, birthplace, race, ethnicity, colour, accent, religion, or immigration history. Users may not request, publish, rank, infer, or use those characteristics except where a specific law requires a narrowly tailored condition.

Each persona must complete market-access review before posting, applying, uploading a resume, creating a bounty, or proposing an introduction. Talent and scout personas must declare current U.S. or Canadian residence; employers may be headquartered elsewhere. A coarse network-country mismatch may hold access for owner review, but it is not proof of identity, nationality, citizenship, or work authorization. Users may correct or appeal a decision through Support.

OutbidJobs may uniformly require action-specific bot resistance, device-velocity review, and a higher-assurance identity check before approving or restoring marketplace actions. These controls are fraud signals—not proof of residence, citizenship, immigration status, work authorization, professional credentials, or suitability for a role. Shared devices and provider errors remain eligible for human review and appeal.

4. Listings, profiles, and documents

Users are responsible for the truth, legality, accuracy, and permissions behind their content. Job posts must describe real, authorized openings and comply with applicable salary-transparency, equal-opportunity, advertising, and employment laws. Talent posts and resumes must be created by or with the permission of the person described.

Work-market and no-sponsorship attestations must be truthful and current. They are screening declarations for the posting board, not OutbidJobs verification of identity or employment eligibility. Employers remain responsible for any required Form I-9, SIN, work-permit, or other lawful hiring verification.

You give OutbidJobs a limited license to host, process, display, format, rank, and distribute public or consented content for operating the marketplace. Private resumes are stored for your account and are not licensed for public display. You retain ownership of your content.

5. Independent scouts and consent

Scouts and recruiters participate independently, not as employees, agents, or representatives of OutbidJobs. They may not scrape resumes, submit a person without documented consent, misstate their authority, or bypass attribution and payout rules.

A candidate must control when identifying information is released. The specific bounty post and any separate agreement govern eligibility, attribution, retention conditions, disputes, refunds, and payout timing.

A scout must attest that the candidate is aware of a proposed introduction. That attestation is not candidate consent. The employer receives identifying contact or resume access only after the candidate accepts that exact role introduction inside OutbidJobs, and the candidate may revoke before a hire is recorded.

6. Fees and payments

Employer role ranks and optional candidate talent spotlights use one-time whole-dollar payments starting at $5. An existing post raises by paying only the difference. Profiles, matching, and applications remain available without a candidate spotlight, and money never changes qualifications or private-data access.

Independent scout bounties remain employer-defined and show the scout and platform shares before funding. OutbidJobs does not charge a salary-percentage placement fee and does not use monthly listing subscriptions in this launch model. Checkout shows the exact amount, active payment mode, the posted finality and refund rules, and any applicable configured taxes before payment. A selected rank is not a guarantee of category #1 because another user may later choose a higher amount.

A completed rank purchase is normally final once Stripe confirms payment and the rank is applied. OutbidJobs will review prompt refund requests for duplicate or unauthorized charges, a technical failure that prevents the purchased rank from being applied, or when applicable law requires a refund. Being overtaken, or not receiving an expected business or hiring outcome, is not a technical failure.

7. Prohibited conduct

  • Fake, expired, discriminatory, misleading, or unauthorized listings.
  • Nationality-, birthplace-, race-, ethnicity-, accent-, religion-, or visa-type targeting, including instructions to reject people from a named country.
  • Identity fraud, impersonation, fabricated credentials, or fake verification evidence.
  • Spam, private-surface scraping, unauthorized candidate submission, or circumvention of consent.
  • False residence or company-location information, bypassing a market-access hold, duplicate-account evasion, or automated volume above published limits.
  • Automated contact outside a user's visibility choice or misuse of a public booking link.
  • Inference or enrichment of protected characteristics.
  • Buying visibility to misrepresent qualifications, trust, or endorsement.
  • Harassment, malware, reverse engineering, payment abuse, or unlawful use.

8. Preview disclaimer and responsibility

The preview is provided as available without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Users remain responsible for independent diligence, hiring decisions, employment terms, legal compliance, taxes, and professional advice.

To the extent permitted by law, OutbidJobs is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, user conduct, employment outcomes, or agreements between users. Final paid terms will state any service-specific liability limits before checkout.

9. Changes and contact

We may change the preview or these terms as the product develops. Material paid-service terms will not apply retroactively without notice and acceptance where required.
